Rubina Leahy, Associate Dean, Student Wellness and Equity

Rubina Leahy will be joining us as the new Associate Dean, Student Wellness and Equity beginning on October 15. Rubina has worked in the Human Services sector for 25 years - 18 years at the senior management level.

Recently, Rubina has worked as a Director, Client Services at Victim Services of Peel. In this role, she managed the High-Risk Program which supports individuals who have been involved in some of the most challenging situations one can imagine. She also advised and led case managers in the Transitional and Housing Support Program and the South Asian Family Enrichment Program which provides long-term support to clients who have experienced intimate partner abuse. Additionally, she has worked with several agencies providing support to women, youth, and family.

Rubina also has a Humber/Guelph-Humber connection as she has been an instructor in the FCSS program since 2013.

Rubina has expressed incredible excitement to join the team in Student Success and Engagement at Humber and is looking forward to advancing our priorities on health and wellness, empathetic client service, and developing strong leaders among our student and staff communities.
