Humber Polytechnic is pleased to welcome Scott Allison as its new Chair of the Board of Governors, effective immediately. He will serve in the position until August 31, 2025. With this appointment, the Board continues its work to govern the institution.
Scott is a former Chair of the Board of Governors for Centennial College and has extensive knowledge of the sector and board governance. In his seven years on Centennial’s Board, he served on the Audit Committee, the Learning & Engagement Committee, the Executive Committee and the Policy & Procedures Committee.
He also previously served 10 years as a board member and, for the last two years of his term, as vice-chair of the board for Destination Canada.
Prior to his retirement in April 2016, Scott held executive positions with Marriott Hotels of Canada. Scott draws on more than 40 years of experience gained through a career in tourism and hospitality that spanned the airline, hotel and related tourism segments in both Canada and the United States. Scott currently is the volunteer chair of the board of Regional Tourism Organization 7.
Scott is also a proud father of a Humber alumnus.
