Thank You to Participants in the Emergency Exercise

Thank you, volunteers!

On behalf of the TTC, Metrolinx, Mosaic Transit, and Humber Polytechnic, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the students and staff who volunteered to participate in our emergency exercise on Sunday, April 27.

The exercise was a tremendous success, thanks in large part to the 40 students and staff who generously gave their time to act as train passengers. Volunteers are vital to the success of exercises like these. Emergency services rely on realistic practice scenarios to hone their response and rescue techniques, and that realism is only possible when volunteers are there to interact with first responders.

These emergency exercises are invaluable learning opportunities for everyone involved — including police, paramedics, fire services, and Humber Polytechnic — allowing us to test and improve our response processes in real time. They also foster stronger collaboration and familiarity among all participating agencies in a controlled environment.

We are proud to share that emergency responders and exercise staff praised the outstanding performance of our volunteers. Your enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment were key to the exercise’s success.

Thank you once again for your invaluable contribution — we couldn’t have done it without you.
