Humber has been an exceptional and well-managed institution over its 58-year history. Over the years, we have grown to be recognized as an innovative leader in the post-secondary industry, now with a proud polytechnic identity. This would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication from our faculty, administrators, and support staff.
In early January 2024, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced and initiated more than 25 policy changes that impact international student recruitment and overall enrolment efforts.
This has led post-secondary institutions to think about the financial challenges it will bring, especially for this upcoming fiscal year in 2025-2026 and the years to come. The plans that Humber must make for the future semesters will need to consider both financial and enrolment uncertainty. Enrolment health is financial health for post-secondary institutions. We will continue to prioritize student success and keep our commitment to our employees.
Humber is, and continues to be, the Greater Toronto Area’s (GTA) Top Employer; recognizing our long service employees is important to me and Humber Polytechnic. In recognizing our long serving employees, we are offering the Voluntary Retirement Program (VRP) to those who may be considering retirement. Choosing to retire is a personal choice and the decision is voluntary by the employee.
Thank you for your commitment and continued support.
For more information on the Voluntary Retirement Program, please contact the VRP team at voluntaryretirementprogram@humber.ca.
Sincerely,
