Winter 2025 Final Examinations for Extenuating Circumstances for the Period of April 7 to 17

Attention Faculty:

Further to the announcements in the Communiqué during the month of March, please know that ETS Testing Services is working hard behind the scenes to ensure the upcoming final exam period is smooth, accessible and student-centered. Due to space constraints, our testing centres are prioritizing accommodated testing and proposing an alternative solution to support students that are missing examinations due to exceptional circumstances including, but not limited to, exam conflicts, illness, deaths, accidents and family emergencies.

We have selected several dates for these make-up examinations. Read below for the dates and on how to arrange a testing seat for your student(s).

Lakeshore Test Centre: We are now accepting additional bookings outside of accommodated testing. We have some capacity to support these exceptional circumstances and will monitor to ensure students are supported. Please encourage your students to make use of appointments in the afternoon.

North Test Centre: To assist with the volume of expected students requiring space in the test centre, ETS Testing Services will be hosting exams in an alternate testing space (computer lab and classroom) on:

  •  Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11
  • Tuesday, April 15 and Thursday, April 17

Faculty are asked to send a list of students who require the space (for conflict testing or exceptional circumstances) to the etstestcentre@humber.ca email.

Faculty should include the following in their email:

  • student name(s) and email addresses
  • paper exam or computer exam (computer/Blackboard/Ideas etc. are strongly encouraged as it helps with workflow efficiency)
  • Password/access codes if required
  • duration of exam
  • any accommodations in the list
  • resources and supports allowed during the test
  • any specific invigilation requirements/exam expectations

Staff from the testing services team will confirm receipt of the email, and work with the students/faculty directly to book into the schedule of the testing space.

Once examinations are confirmed and prior to the exam date, if the exam is paper based, faculty sends etstestcentre@humber.ca the examination file (word or PDF). If computer-based, please ensure any access codes/passwords are also shared in advance to the email address above.Testing Services will resume normal working hours as of April 25.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Katarina Mebaoudj, Testing Services Manager, at katarina.mebaoudj@humber.ca.
