In celebration of Assembly Hall's 10th anniversary, the Humber School of Creative & Performing Arts presents Swimming for Shore, stories from the Lakeshore. Written by Rex Deverell, the play tells true stories about the Lakeshore neighbourhood told through funny, tender narrative and song.
It features 22 young thespians in the second year of Humber's Theatre Performance program, giving them the opportunity to work wioth noted Canadian actress Janet Amos.

The last concert in this season�۪s Humber Music Jazz Series will feature a tribute to
Dave Stillwell and a reunion of the Humber Blue Jackets.
Dave Stillwell retired in June 2010 after 35 years with Humber Music where he not only taught, but where he also assembled and nurtured the Humber Blue Jackets. Under his direction, the Blue Jackets have been together for some 25 years. Because the members, consisting of students enrolled in the Music program change every year, there are now over 400 working musicians who have performed with the band. Known for funk, r and b, rock, and soul, the Blue Jackets have performed at universities, colleges, schools, festivals, and concerts.
The tribute and reunion will showcase the last incarnation of the Blue Jackets and will
feature the release of their CD What�۪s Next?.
