Indigenous Knowledge Gathering at Humber College

Since 2014, Humber College has been hosting an annual gathering called the Indigenous Knowledge Gathering. Over the past six years, thousands of Indigenous and non-Indigenous learners have gathered to share ideas on a variety of topics. Each year the gathering grows and explores new areas of conversation!

For the 2019/2020 academic year, we are excited to announce our upcoming #IndigenousKnowledgesGathering will be happening this fall from November 21 to 23.

Educating the Heart, Mind, Body and Spirit

This year’s theme, Educating the Heart, Mind, Body and Spirit, envisions an education system deeply connected to place, community, and planet. IKG will bring students, educators, and communities together once again to explore the knowledges, skills, and education strategies required to build a better future. IKG will feature an exciting program of keynote presentations, networking, interactive workshops, and breakout discussion circles, alongside rich cultural programming.

This is an extremely valuable opportunity for all staff and faculty to attend as professional development, along with the potential to add this gathering to your critical path for students to further their education.
