More and more Humber faculty are being encouraged to create a teaching portfolio – a collection of documents and materials that describes a teacher’s teaching philosophy, summarizes their teaching performances, lists significant academic and professional accomplishments and highlights teaching highlights. Traditional hard copy portfolios are still very common but Humber faculty can also create rich multimedia portfolios using suitable ePortfolio software such as Weebly, WordPress and Google ePortfolio. This workshop is a follow-up to the Professional Development's ePortfolio workshops.

This practical workshop introduces students to the many challenges and solutions in managing our time well in today’s busy world. Student will learn to use and apply a variety of time management solutions and identify their own time wasters and bad habits.

Find out how to write specific learning objectives for entry-level to advanced courses. Through this workshop you will also link Bloom’s Taxonomy to teaching and testing.

You’ve done a good job of conveying content to your students but have you engaged your students through reflection? This workshop will focus
on how you can help students to understand and contextualize what they’ve learned into practical and applied scenarios. True critical thinking occurs when students can internalize the information professors convey so that they understand the relevance of the material to their learning and discipline.
