Humber Wins Consultancy in Ethiopia

Humber College is pleased to announce it has been selected to support the national Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system in Ethiopia. The initiative, led by Asha Gervan, Manager of the International Development Institute and delivered by faculty from The Business School, including Jim Skinner, will equip 50 entrepreneurship instructors in Ethiopia with the tools and skills to design and deliver effective curriculum in entrepreneurship.

The Humber Award for Excellence in Teaching is an annual award recognizing one Humber educator for Teaching Excellence and for nurturing the broader institutional learning environment. Demonstrating outstanding teaching and learning experiences, a nominee should be an individual who is widely recognized for their teaching and academic inquiry within the Faculty, supports the educational excellence of colleagues, and embodies a spirit of instructional innovation.

Humber HRS presents Emotional Intelligence Workshop

Here is your chance to learn what your skills really are. We’ll use and discuss several self-assessment tools to bring you in-depth insights into the skills you have and your opportunities areas for growth. We will answer 4 primary questions:

  2. How can I assess and develop my EQ?
  3. What real-life strategies can I use to improve my EQ?

Youth Employment Series - United Way Young Leaders Council

The YLC Youth Employment Series aims to engage youth and increase their awareness of youth unemployment issues and effective strategies that can help to combat youth unemployment. In addition, youth will get an opportunity to connect and learn about some of the resources and supports available in the Peel community. If you are between the ages of 18-29, come out and join the United Way of Peel Region's Young Leaders Council on Saturday, May 13th for an afternoon of learning and networking with industry professionals about youth employment in Peel.
