Humber Docs 2017

Humber College School of Media Studies and Information Technology Film and Media Production students to premiere documentaries in showcase. After a four month process the talented Humber Film and Media Production students are ready to showcase their works of art. On Friday, April 21, 10 documentaries will premiere at the Assembly Hall located at 1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive, in Etobicoke. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and screenings start at 7 p.m.

REMINDER: Humber/GH students who are NOT registered for summer courses, but who are working on campus during the summer months, may purchase a reduced cost summer gym membership for $60+tax. Departments that employ students throughout the summer months can refer their summer staff to the Memberships website for information. Work study students are considered "students", not full-time College employees, regardless of number of hours worked. Contract employees are considered Community Members. Student cards must be shown to qualify for student pricing. 

It's Great to Bee Home: Bee Habits, Habitats, and Bee Hotel Workshop

The plight of honey bees has been in the news a lot recently, but some of the most important pollinators are native bees who specialize in pollinating flowers that are native to the regional ecologies of Canada. Native bees also have to deal with the loss of habitat brought about by urbanization. ​Bee hotels are a fun way of giving back to native bee species. They provide bees with much needed nesting sites that can also help your neighbourhoods grow!

Spring Toy Drive

We always remember the children during the winter holidays, but what happens during the rest of the year? The CICE Student Council has organized a Toy Drive to support children in need at a local shelter. It's not too late to donate. The Toy Drive will run from Monday, April 3 to Friday, April 28. If you would like to donate an new/unused toy, please visit one of our drop boxes found at the following locations:
  • M200 (School of Health Sciences, Main Entrance)
  • LRC (Outside Registrar’s Office)
  • The Athletics Centre (Main Office)
