Since 2014, A Greener Future has picked up over one million pieces of litter from the shores of Lake Ontario. On May 30, they'll be hosting a cleanup at Colonel Samuel Smith Park. You can volunteer and help them find solutions by collecting data through their Citizen Science Program! The Citizen Science program aims at providing the local community with the opportunity to learn about the importance of data collection methods and analysis. Students, staff and faculty are all welcome to participate.
A Greener Future is an organization that works with local communities to promote environmental preservation through organizing cleanups of the city as well as hosting educational programs and events relating to the environment. Every year, A Greener Future hosts a program known as Love Your Lake where they complete 100 liter cleanups along the shores of Lake Ontario.
