Humber Endorses Dimensions Charter

Humber endorses the federal government’s new Dimensions: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Canada Charter.

On September 3, the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport was joined by Chris Whitaker, Humber president & CEO, Nancy Simms, director of the Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Diversity and John Walsh, vice-provost of the University of Guelph-Humber to sign the Dimensions Charter.

The Charter seeks to address systemic barriers in postsecondary education and research, particularly those experienced by members of underrepresented or disadvantaged groups, including but not limited to, women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minority/racialized groups and members of the LGBTQ2+ communities.
