The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Diversity and the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness in collaboration with the Consulate General of Jamaica and the Consulate General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines requested donations of children’s books for library stands across the two islands.

We are delighted to announce that over the past several months the Humber Community has provided tremendous support to this important initiative. Over 8,000 new and lightly used children’s books were shipped to Jamaica and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

We would also like to thank The Lions Club of Toronto Central and Michele Landsberg for their generous support of this initiative. Your willingness to support this mission will make a significant difference to make books and reading accessible to the children across Jamaica and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
