Call for Student Writers and Musicians: Paid Opportunity

We have a new project in the works and need your help recruiting student writers, poets, and musicians (paid opportunity).

The Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre is currently accepting submissions for a new online video series tentatively titled "Grounds for Leisure," led by Humber Lakeshore student Naomi Stokes (Arts Administration and Cultural Management). We welcome students from any program at Humber to submit their work for consideration.

We are seeking original written and audio content focused on exploring the calming forces within our natural environment - remotely. The project will blend creative writing, poetry, stories, and/or instrumental music recordings of Humber students with video recordings of the natural environment of the Lakeshore Grounds, with an emphasis on areas within Colonel Samuel Smith Park. The video series will create an opportunity to make the natural environment of the campus accessible to the student community as well as those who are unable to access the space.

The full call for submissions is attached and can also be found online at https://www.lakeshoregrounds.ca/grounds-for-leisure.

Deadline to apply is March 5, 2021 at midnight.

Videos will premiere on YouTube in late spring 2021.
