Peer Assisted Learning Support – North to Lakeshore: We Got You

It’s that time of year again! Peer Assisted Learning Support (PALS) is excited to welcome students and faculty to the new academic year. This year we will be offering Learning Skills Workshops, Peer Tutoring and Note Taking Services (for students with accommodations) at both North and Lakeshore campuses.

Peer Tutoring services begin on Monday, September 19, 2016. The one-on-one service is designed to help students with course specific difficulties. This service is offered to all Humber College and University of Guelph-Humber students.

How does it work?

The tutoring fee is $10/8 hours. Students can begin their first session as early as Monday, September 19, 2016! We encourage faculty and staff to refer students to our office or website to book a tutor.

  • North Campus: Third Floor, Learning Resource Commons, Peer Assisted Learning Support Office
  • Lakeshore Campus: WEL 105, Student Welcome & Resource Centre

Know a student interested in becoming a tutor?

All tutors must have achieved 80% or higher in the course they are interested in tutoring and receive a recommendation from their professor.
