Be a Part of the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee

Are you interested in being part of a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee at Humber?

The Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC) is an advisory body that is made up of worker (Faculty and Support Staff) and management (Administration) members who work together to address and promote health and safety in the workplace.

Humber has established eight JOHSCs to ensure that local health and safety issues are identified and addressed in a timely and effective manner. The eight JOHSCs represent:

  • North Campus
  • Lakeshore Campus
  • International Graduate School
  • Five Humber College Community Employment Services (HCCES) sites: Brampton, Central Etobicoke, North Etobicoke, North York, and St. Clair West

We are currently seeking Faculty and Support Staff members for the JOHSC at the International Graduate School and a Support Staff member for the North Campus JOHSC. If you are an employee at either of these locations and are interested in becoming a member of the Committee, please reach out to the union at:

Otherwise, for more information about the JOHSC at your site, meeting dates, workplace inspection schedules, or the contact information of the committee members, visit: https://hrs.humber.ca/safety/joint-health-safety-committee/about.html
