The IGS is pleased to announce the launch of the IGS Career Mentorship Program (CMP) for the winter 2022 term.
The IGS Career Mentorship Program (CMP) aims to support IGS students who are approaching graduation to make a successful and informed transition from IGS into the Canadian workforce.
We are now seeking mentors and invite the Humber community to consider applying to become a mentor supporting IGS students on their path to a successful transition to work in Canada or abroad.
We know the experience will be equally rewarding for both mentors and mentees, and we welcome applications from mentors with the following criteria:
- Be an international alumni of a program offered at IGS who has graduated in 2019 or earlier OR an industry professional with newcomer/international education experience
- Be working in their field in Canada, preferably in the GTA
- Be open to mentoring from one to five mentees at a time
- Be available and committed to connect with ,entee(s) as per program requirements
Those that do not meet the criteria for international/newcomer experience are welcome to apply. All applications will be reviewed with priority consideration given to those mentors with international/newcomer experience.
Mentors and mentees will receive recognition for their participation in the CMP with a certificate awarded at the end of the program. In addition, mentors will have access to select industry events and learning opportunities at the IGS campus.
The full CMP details and Mentor Application can be found here: IGS Career Mentorship Program (CMP).
Applications will be accepted until December 3, 2021. The CMP will officially begin in January 2022.
