Dear Humber employees,  

As we approach the holidays, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all members of the Humber community.  

Your continued hard work and dedication to our students is inspiring and has contributed to Humber’s success. Since joining Humber College at the end of August, I have had the opportunity to meet many students and employees and I hope to meet many more as time goes on. What has left the deepest impression on me so far is the strong sense of community at Humber and how everyone truly cares for each other's well-being. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly into this caring community. 

To recognize your dedication and show our appreciation, the college will officially close for our annual holiday break at the end of the business day on Thursday, December 22. Friday, December 23 is an Employee Appreciation Day, and I hope you will use the time away from the office to enjoy the season with your family and friends. The college will reopen on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. 

There will be business operations and pay considerations related to this closure and Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness will provide details on how to handle employee scheduling and time entries related to this closure to all managers. Employees can access key payroll calendar dates on this webpage.
