The heating and cooling system at the North Campus is undergoing a major retrofit. The current natural gas-fueled system will be replaced by a modern and more efficient system powered by electricity. As a result, natural gas use is expected to be reduced by 70 per cent at the North Campus.
SWITCH is the multi-year project that includes replacing heating and cooling piping that connects the College’s central plant to all buildings at the North Campus. The project started in February 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
More information about this exciting project will be shared in the coming months. Stay up to date by visiting the SWITCH website.
Departments whose work areas will be affected by renovation will be contacted via email.
