The Centre for Innovation in Health and Wellness (CIHW) is excited to share the success of a recent collaborative project between CIHW and the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST).
As CIHW projects continued to grow, we faced the challenge of having our data points stored on a variety of platforms and wanted a solution to streamline them into an executive dashboard for easy viewing.
Humber student Muskanpreet Kaur (Winter 2025) from the Computer Technician Program took on this challenge as her technical project. Focusing on our Healthy Campus program data, she successfully implemented a data analytic solution using Excel and built a dashboard that is now deployed at CIHW for production use for multiple projects.
Many thanks to Muskanpreet, Professor Tim Wong, Associate Dean Francis Syms, and FAST for collaborating with us.
This project not only provided us with a real-world, usable solution but also offered Muskanpreet invaluable experience in data analytics and dashboard creation. Her work exemplifies the impact of hands-on learning and the importance of student skill building in real-world applications.
