Humber Revenue Generating Committee Formation and Call for Ongoing Submissions

Dear Humber Community,

Thank you for continuing to engage in thoughtful dialogue around Humber Polytechnic’s financial outlook and our shared future. Over the past months, we’ve received insightful feedback from individuals across the institution through the Expenditure Cutting and Revenue Generating Ideas webform that was shared at the spring Town Hall sessions. Your contributions reflect the innovative nature and strength of our community, and our collective commitment to achieving a balanced 2025/26 budget and ensuring Humber’s long-term financial sustainability.

In addition to the webform, feedback has been gathered through a student budget consultation session, along with Humber Polytechnic Council, Program Advisory Committee (PAC) and Faculty-specific sessions.

To drive continued progress, we’re pleased to share the launch of the Humber Revenue Generating Committee – a cross-functional team dedicated to identifying and advancing revenue-generating opportunities. The committee has already begun reviewing community submissions. Next steps include prioritizing proposals, forming project teams, and developing implementation and reporting plans. The Committee is committed to open communication, measurable outcomes, action-orientation and values-driven decision making.

We remain guided by our core institutional principles of putting students first, supporting our employees, and upholding transparency and accountability. These values will continue to shape how we respond to challenges and seize new opportunities.

We invite all members of the Humber community to be bold, creative and entrepreneurial. Share your institutional knowledge and valued expert insights on all aspects of our ecosystem to support the mission toward a financially viable future. Continue submitting ideas through the Expenditure Cutting and Revenue Generating Ideas webform. All submissions will be thoughtfully reviewed by the Humber Revenue Generating Committee.

Thank you for your continued dedication to Humber Polytechnic. Together, through collaboration and innovation, we will shape a resilient and thriving future.

Sincerely,

Alvina Cassiani and Dave Smiderle
