Faculty Forum on Generative AI – Registration Now Open 

During the Fall 2025 Reading Week, Innovative Learning is hosting a Faculty Forum on Generative AI for Humber faculty on October 20 to 21, 2025.  

The sessions offered as part of this faculty development forum explore how Generative AI (GenAI) is reshaping our approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment. The goal is to bring together educators to share perspectives, examine current challenges, and consider practical responses to the role of AI in higher education. Participants will engage in discussions and collaborative activities that encourage critical reflection on how AI is influencing classroom practices and assessment design. Join this panel of academic leaders and educators as they discuss the evolving impact of Generative AI and the rapidly changing landscape in Higher Education. Faculty from across disciplines will share real-world examples of redesigned assignments, strategies for fostering academic integrity, and creative uses of AI to enhance student learning.  Connect with your faculty colleagues, exchange insights and explore how GenAI is shaping our classrooms. Whether you are curious, cautious, or already experimenting with AI, this session will spark ideas and provide you with strategies to bring back to your own teaching practice.

Assessment Redesign Workshop 

This hands-on workshop led by Innovative Learning invites faculty to share challenges with current assessments impacted by student use of AI and collaborate on creative, practical alternatives. Together, we will move from identifying problems to exploring possibilities, leaving with strategies and ideas to design more resilient, authentic assessments for today’s learners. To make the most of this session, we encourage you to come prepared with either an assessment you would like to redesign or a recurring assessment challenge from your discipline.
