Partial-Load Registry for 2026-2027 Academic Year

Partial-Load Registry (Article 26.10 D & E)

The Partial-Load Registry is a record of current or previously employed partial-load professors to enable priority consideration for available partial-load contracts. Priority is determined based on service (credits) and course experience.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: On July 2, 2025, Arbitrator William Kaplan issued his award, finalizing the terms of the 2024–2027 Academic Collective Agreement for full-time and partial-load professors, counsellors, and librarians.

Key Changes to the Registry include*:

  • Automatic Registration: Current or former partial-load employees are now automatically registered for priority consideration each semester. NO need to submit an expression of interest.
  • Updated Priority changes: priority will only apply to partial-load employees who have completed eight months of service in the last four academic years.
  • April 30 Deadline for Teaching Contact Hours (TCHs): employees must advise their supervisor in writing of the maximum number of teaching hours they wish to be assigned by no later than April 30 of the preceding year.
