At the 2013 Spring Convocation, Humber granted honorary degrees to eight individuals, celebrating their outstanding accomplishments in the fields of business, entertainment, sports, fine arts, law and health care. This year, we celebrated a little further by placing an ad in the Globe and Mail and the National Post on July 18, highlighting their achievements and congratulating our more than 7,000 graduates.
With 37 years of outstanding service and dedication to Humber, Michael Hatton, Vice-President, Academic, has decided to enjoy retirement and take on new adventures, effective August 31, 2013. Michael first joined Humber in 1976 as a faculty member and has progressively moved into senior administrative roles.
I am delighted to share with the Humber community that the Board of Governors approved the 2013-2018 Strategic Plan and 2013-14 Business Plan on Monday, June 24.
