Partner with Us

Partnering with Humber gives access to our entire research and innovation ecosystem. This includes the five Centres of Innovation, six academic Faculties, the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI), the Centre for Innovative Learning (CIL), and the Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) team.  Along with these resources, you will also have access to the incredibly talented pool of Humber students.

Innovation Ecosystem

Our COI Network will bridge the gap between innovation and application, concepts and commercialization.

Several best-in-class buildings will strengthen our innovation ecosystem, providing flexible, technology-enabled spaces for exploring, learning, making and knowledge-sharing.

Humber’s Centres of Innovation (COI) Network

The five COIs each focus on an area of strength: Technology Innovation, Creative Business Innovation, Innovation in Health & Wellness, Entrepreneurship, and Social Innovation—brings together interdisciplinary teams of faculty, students, community and industry partners to solve complex, real-world problems.

Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (Barrett CTI)

At the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (Barrett CTI), students hone the skills they will need for the jobs of tomorrow, and businesses revolutionize their operations by experimenting with cutting-edge technologies. With advanced technology changing the way we work and live every day, the Barrett CTI brings together entrepreneurs, SMEs, established companies, students and faculty members to grow and prosper by developing human-centred, technology-enabled solutions for business and communities.

Centre for Creative Business Innovation (CCBI)

The Centre for Creative Business Innovation (CCBI) encourages creative collaboration, applied research and project-based learning. An invaluable resource for companies and communities, the CCBI brings together interdisciplinary teams of students, faculty and industry or community partners to solve complex, real-world problems. By working closely with industry professionals, Humber students gain the professional skills, entrepreneurial attitudes and innovation literacy that will accelerate their career success.

Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (Longo CfE)

The Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (Longo CfE) is for everyone who wants to explore the world of entrepreneurship. The Longo CfE provides a space for like-minded individuals to meet, collaborate, and create. No matter the passion, interest or previous entrepreneurial experiences, the Longo CfE has specialized learning opportunities that stimulate new ways of thinking and support entrepreneurial goals.

Centre for Innovation in Health and Wellness (CIHW)

Humber's Centre for Innovation in Health & Wellness (CIHW) is a powerful catalyst for change, helping to create solutions that support a healthier tomorrow for everyone, no matter where they live, what they have, or who they are.

Centre for Social Innovation (CSI)

Humber's Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) addresses systemic social barriers and opens-up social opportunities. We do this by working alongside equity-deserving populations and the community organizations that support them. With this community-centric lens, we look for impactful ways to harness the ingenuity of Humber’s people – students, faculty and staff – and the potential of our physical resources, including buildings and grounds.

Humber Delivers on Research and Innovation

Humber’s Office of Research & Innovation (ORI) provides valuable applied research and innovation services to partner organizations. ORI’s role is to help faculty and student research teams engage in applied research with industry and community partners, solving specific, real-world problems. As a result, industry and community partners gain solutions and students gain valuable experience.

To support the development of Humber’s research culture, ORI encourages faculty to approach research and innovation through the lens of discovery, collaboration and to make a difference.

Humber’s combination of processes, expertise and infrastructure provides a solid foundation for supporting research and building innovation capacity.
