Transitions To Success 

Transitions To Success aims to provide new students with resources and information to assist in transitioning to post-secondary studies at Humber College and the University of Guelph-Humber. Students will have an opportunity to interact with current students connected with Accessible Learning Services, get to know their campus resources and learn tips to manage thier wellness in anticipation of the new semester. It’s also a great way to make new friends, win prizes and have fun! The event will be held on August 21, 2024.

Topics include:

  • Understanding Your Accommodation Letter
  • Time Management and Memory Strategies
  • How to Communicate with Professors
  • Establishing Positive Habits and Managing Stress

ASD Day

ASD Day is geared toward students who identify as living with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The event will be held on August 23, 2024. Students will have an opportunity to connect with each other and explore various topics related to communication and interaction in postsecondary. On this day you can expect to:

  • Meet other new, like-minded students
  • Get first year survival tips from senior students with ASD
  • Learn how to access support systems
  • Develop strategies for academic and social success
