We are creating opportunities for Humber students and staff to make a difference in our community with various sustainability programs. These efforts are not only for climate action, but are also learning opportunities for everyone at Humber to practice their sustainability mindsets and engage with green industry professionals within their fields.

Sustainability Ambassadors volunteer program provides Humber and University of Guelph-Humber students opportunities to strengthen their sustainability skillsets and undertake collaborative climate action.
As a Sustainability Ambassador, you play a crucial role in educating the Humber community about sustainability. Amidst a human-created climate emergency, we need passionate and informed youth from diverse cultural backgrounds to encourage positive change on campus and beyond.
At Humber and UofGH, our commitment to sustainability is guided by varied forms of knowledge and value systems, from Indigenous Ways of Being, Knowing, and Doing to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Humber’s Office of Sustainability is dedicated to supporting students, staff, and faculty in organizing their own campus cleanups. We provide essential supplies such as gloves and bags, as well as the option to loan out pickers to facilitate safe and effective waste collection during cleanup events. Humber’s new Campus Cleanup Toolkit goes beyond just materials—it includes guidance on proper waste sorting, safety considerations, and best practices for organizing successful cleanup events. By equipping the Humber community with both resources and knowledge, the Toolkit encourages collective action and fosters pride in being stewards of the land, today and for future generations.
Humber will elevate it’s status as a thought leader and convener of climate action through strategic partnerships.
Humber is creating advisory forums to inform the achievement of Humber’s Sustainability Vision.
