How to Apply

At Humber, you may need to follow a different admissions process depending on the type of application that applies to you.

    New Domestic Applicant

    You are applying to Humber for the first time as a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or protected person.  

    If you are in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, Landed/Permanent Resident or Convention Refugee*, you will apply for a full-time program through ontariocolleges.ca.

    *Convention Refugee applicants will need to provide a Study Permit.

    New International Applicant

    You are applying to Humber for the first time as a citizen of another country living outside of Canada or inside of Canada, without permanent residency status. You will need to provide a valid Study Permit to study in Canada.

    If you are an international applicant, you can apply for a full-time program directly through the Humber Web Application and get all the information you need from the International Admissions Road Map

    International Applications

    Graduate Taking Pathway Program

    You are a graduate from a post-secondary institution coming to Humber to continue a pathway program through an articulated agreement available at Humber.

    Anyone interested taking certificate, micro-credential or bridging programs or courses to upskill, reskill, or build a foundation for a new career.

    When to Apply

    Applicants to full-time programs should plan ahead to submit applications according to processing times. 

    Types of Applicants

    Applicant categories depend on certain factors, including age, secondary school experience and post-secondary school experience.  

    Secondary School Applicant

    You are currently registered in, or have graduated from, secondary school, and have no post-secondary experience. Humber uses your secondary school courses and grades to determine program eligibility.

    University or College Transfer Applicant

    You have partially or fully completed a university or college-level credential. Humber will use your university or college courses and grades to determine program eligibility. You may also be eligible for transfer credit if you are admitted to a Humber program.

    Mature Applicant

    You have not completed secondary or post-secondary school and will be 19 or older (21 or older for degree programs) as of the first day of classes. Humber will invite you for testing to demonstrate that you meet program eligibility. Mature applicants for degree programs will be required to meet course requirements at the U level or equivalent.

    Once you have submitted your application, you can track your progress through Humber's applicant portal. If you receive an offer of admission, remember to accept it as soon as possible! There are several types of offers issued, make sure you understand the type of offer you receive.
