Amanda Batchelor (1965-2021) had hit her stride as a professional fundraiser when cancer struck. To remember a life and career cut short, the Amanda Batchelor Memorial Scholarship will support female students in need of financial support in the Fundraising Management or Public Relations programs at Humber College.
Amanda followed a communications degree at Carleton University with Public Relations and Fundraising Management degrees at Ryerson University and Humber College. A need to change lives through good causes led her to a calling in non-profit sector marketing and fundraising at JVS Toronto, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, East Metro Youth Services, Crohn's and Colitis Canada and the North York Hospital Foundation.
This special gift of support, funded by Amanda's friends and family, aims to inspire and empower women to achieve their academic and career goals and ascend to future industry leadership.
Please join us in honouring Amanda with a donation to help establish the Amanda Batchelor Memorial Scholarship in memory of her invaluable contributions to the philanthropic sector. We know this scholarship will allow Amanda’s story to be told and her legacy to continue for many years through the support and achievements of its recipients.
