Karen L. Hill, 1958 - 2014, was a passionate creative writer who enjoyed her mentorship at the Humber School for Writers. Karen worked for many years on a novel and a long essay but died while they were still circulating with potential publishers. After she died, HarperCollins committed to publishing her novel Cafe Babanussa and essay "On Being Crazy."
Karen was the proud recipient of a scholarship to help her benefit from a mentorship at Humber, and her family decided to create a memorial scholarship in her name so that other writers could benefit from similar mentorships.
