TinyTO Internship

TinyTO is a to-scale miniature model of The City of Toronto downtown core, originally built in the late 1980's. It is on display in the main foyer of Toronto City Hall. Humber College is working closely with City staff to re-imagine and update the exhibit so it better reflects Toronto's evolving architectural landscape. The goal is to implement a modular, and updatable physical model that incorporates accessibility and interactivity in it's design. Over the summer, an interdisciplinary team of Humber students supported by subject matter experts will conceive, plan and execute this project, building out the model and a companion digital experience incrementally. Each new group of fellows brings a new perspective to this initiative, improving upon the work of the previous cohort and enhancing the model further. Fellows benefit from shared learning and growth and demonstrate adaptability as they deal with complex challenges and ambiguity while building a community of collaboration and creation in a professional setting.

"This was my first time working with an interdisciplinary team on a project and I believe it to have been extremely valuable to my experience and career moving forward. It allowed me the space to grow creatively, gave me the opportunity to gain experience working with a team, and allowed me to apply my skills as well as to learn new ones."
