Our Impact

Research and Innovation

In alignment with Humber's strategic priority on career ready citizens and providing opportunities for work integrated learning, the CIHW has engaged with several partners on joint research projects. These collaborative research initiatives will provide learning opportunities for Humber students and benefit those in and beyond the Humber community.

Humber Healthy Campus

The CIHW is committed to building and sustaining a healthy and inclusive community at Humber. In alignment with the Okanagan Charter and Humber's own strategic priority, the CIHW is collaborating with campus health partners in several projects to improve overall wellness of Humber's community. These projects include assessments of campus health and wellness resources, initiatives to build better workplace habits, and increasing opportunities for students from the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness.

Community Connection and Partnerships

A key goal of the CIHW is to establish strong and sustainable industry and community partnerships in accordance with Humber's strategic priority. Throughout the past year, the CIHW has engaged with 33 industry partners to build new relationships, create collaboration opportunities, and enhance visibility for CIHW at Humber. These collaborations range from creating internships, providing health and wellness training, developing conference opportunities and creating new resources.
