This micro-credential is an introduction to accessibility – actions taken so that people with disabilities can fully participate – as well as what is meaningful and relevant to all learners and uses these factors as criteria for selecting educational technology.
The content is designed so that two of the four modules cover intra-accessibility, one about educational technology and one bringing these concepts together.
Learning outcomes:
Assess learner variability in an in-person and online learning environment in order to establish accessibility needs. |
Select educational technologies tools (both online and in-person) that can support learner access. |
Design a teaching plan that supports access for learner variability. |
Explain what is meant by accessibility and what are the teaching faculty’s roles and responsibilities in ensuring access for learners with disabilities. |
