Optional Add-On Week: Research Bootcamp

Dates: July 5 – 13, 2024

Interested in extending your stay in Toronto for an additional week while applying your knowledge in an interdisciplinary research bootcamp?

Our bootcamp is designed to introduce students and emerging researchers to the ongoing journey of life-long exploration we call research. We will start from the beginning – what calls you to this challenge? How to solve societal problems? How to engage others in community development? Or just plain curiosity about a subject area? You start from where you are! We will introduce you to different types of research and provide guidelines for conducting your own research project. As part of the journey, we will undertake a short project whereby you can experience the power of collaborative research practice.

  • You want to enhance/explore your ability in practical research skills
  • You want to challenge yourself in new ways

What will I be able to do after the course?

  • Understand, recognize and help manage the process of change in an organization
  • Enhance and broaden your qualitative and quantitative research practices
  • Hone your problem-solving skills
  • Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

We hope to see you at the Global Summer School in July 2024. Remember, there are no mistakes .... only research!
