Algebra University College is the largest private educational organization in Republic of Croatia, training more than 15,000 students annually in higher educational and lifelong learning programs. A huge emphasis is placed on the quality of the program, lectures, and professors for students to acquire knowledge necessary for rapidly growing industries based on digital technologies.

Courses Available:

  • Artificial Intelligence (All Bachelor of Engineering Students, Second Entry and Bridging Bachelor of Nursing students and Nursing students and students who have taken SCIE 2020 are not eligible to take this course)
  • Creativity and Storytelling in Marketing (All Bachelor’s in Creative & Professional Writing; Bachelor’s Digital Communications; Bachelor’s Film & Media Production; BComm Marketing; Bachelor’s in Public Relations and Bachelor’s of Creative Advertising students are not eligible to take this course. All Bachelor of Engineering Students, Second Entry and Bridging Bachelor of Nursing students and Nursing students are not eligible to take this course)
  • Data-Driven Storytelling (All Bachelor of Engineering Students, Second Entry and Bridging Bachelor of Nursing students and Nursing students are not eligible to take this course; additionally this course is restricted to all students who take RSMT 1000 or RSMT 2500, or who are restricted from taking it by their program (this includes all Bachelor of Commerce degrees)

Earn Humber Elective Credit:

Take 1 course at Algebra and earn transfer credit to satisfy one GNED course (diploma) or lower-level breadth elective course.

  • Artificial intelligence: Lower-level ST and GNED
  • Creativity and Storytelling in Marketing: Lower-Level AH and GNED
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Lower-Level SCC and GNED

What is Included in the Program Fee?

  • Cultural and social program
  • Organized transportation to and from Šibenik
  • Field trips
  • Sightseeing in Zagreb and Šibenik
  • Company visits
  • Student events on campus
  • Travel health insurance for the program dates, arranged by Humber
  • Summer tuition fees are waived at Humber and normal tuition will be due Fall semester

What is Not Included in the Program Fee?

  • Round trip airfare (book your own flights)
  • Accommodation (book your own accommodations and is approximately € 600)
  • Activity fees and meals outside of those included in the program itinerary.
  • Incidentals, spending money
  • Baggage and trip cancellation insurance, if desired
  • Associated visa costs, if applicable
  • Humber transfer credit fees ($25.00 per course, upon completion)

Accommodation

The recommended price for accommodation during the four-week Algebra Summer School program is approximately 600 Euros if you stay at hostels in Zagreb and Šibenik in multiple bed dorms.

If you do not wish to stay in the hostel, you can alternatively look for private accommodation on your own.

Although prices of accommodation in Zagreb and Šibenik may vary in size and amenities depending on the city area, Algebra is always happy to assist you in the process of finding a flat by providing helpful links to various rental agencies that offer short-term apartment rental.
