This is a valuable opportunity to enhance student support while also contributing to the professional development of support staff, administrators, or faculty.

Your program fee includes:

  • Airport pick-up from Toronto Pearson International
    For arrivals from 8:00 am – 7:00 pm on July 3 and July 10 (instruction on airport transportation will be provided for arrivals outside of these hours and dates)
  • Accommodation:
    • 1-week program (Creative Thinking Bootcamp): Accommodation for 8 nights at our Lakeshore Residence (July 3 – 11, 2026)
    • 3-week program (GSS): Accommodation for 22 nights at our Lakeshore Residence (July 10 – August 1, 2026)
    • 4-week program (Creative Thinking Bootcamp + GSS): Accommodation for 29 nights at our Lakeshore Residence (July 3 – August 1, 2026) for those who register for an optional additional program week
  • Daily cafeteria-style breakfasts and lunches provided throughout the program dates
  • Academic course delivery
  • Course trips and industry visits

  • Transportation and entrance fees for all scheduled social and cultural activities

Additional Required Resources

Humber Global Summer School participants will require a working laptop for classwork. There may be additional materials required by instructors for course participation, however free and open-source software/technology will be chosen first.

Registration

Registration Deadline

  • Applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis with a final deadline of April 15, 2026. Upon completing the online registration, students will receive a Conditional Offer Letter along with detailed payment instructions. A non-refundable deposit of $500 CAD is required at their earliest convenience to receive the Official Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and begin the visa application process.
  • The deadline for Humber to receive full payment is June 1, 2026.
  • You will receive more detailed instructions on how to make payments once you have completed the online registration for the course you're planning on attending.

Age Requirement

Participants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Language Proficiency

Participants must be able to demonstrate the minimum English language proficiency to be successful in their course of study. More information available here.

Refund Policy for Global Summer School

A non-refundable deposit of CAD $500 is required to receive a Letter of Acceptance for Humber’s Global Summer School. The deposit is applied towards your total program fee and is not an additional cost. All fees are listed in Canadian dollars. Refund eligibility for both the deposit and tuition is based on the program start date.

Visa Refusal

  • If a student is unable to attend due to visa refusal, they may request a refund.
  • The program fees will be refunded minus a $200 CAD registration fee, provided the student submits proof of visa refusal.
  • If time permits, we strongly encourage students to review their application to determine if there is an opportunity to reapply or appeal.

Withdrawal Before Program Start

Date Refund
Until May 31, 2026 Full program fee refunded, excluding the $500 CAD non-refundable deposit. Exception: Withdrawal due to visa refusal will be fully refunded, excluding the $200 CAD processing fee.
From June 1, 2026 No refunds will be issued. Exception: Cases of visa refusal or medical emergency.

 

Refunds Related to Visa/Permit Status and Medical Emergency

We strongly recommend that you apply for your Canadian Visitor Visa or ETA as early as possible, as processing times may take several months depending on your country of application. If you submitted your visa/permit application to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at least 3 months prior to the start of the Humber Global Summer School and do not receive the required visa/permit, you may be eligible for a refund of your tuition fee.

To qualify for a refund, you must submit the following documents:

  1. A copy of the visa/permit refusal letter.
  2. A copy of the visa/permit application status page showing that the application is still in progress or has been refused.
  3. Other document that support the rationale for withdrawal from Humber Global Summer School

Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis with supporting documentation. Once it’s confirmed that the student cannot attend, we will process the refund. Please note that refunds may take up to 8 weeks to complete. Students will be notified once the refund is issued.

Humber Polytechnic utilizes Flywire to streamline the tuition payment process for our international students. It offers competitive foreign exchange rates, allowing you to pay in your home currency (in most cases) and save a significant amount of money, as compared to traditional banks. In addition, the College can track payments from start to finish and you will be notified via email (and/or text) when your payment is received by Humber Polytechnic.

Paying tuition with Flywire is safe, fast, and convenient. Follow the simple steps below to submit your payment:

  1. GET STARTED Go to the Flywire/Humber page and select your country of origin and payment amount.
  2. SELECT PAYMENT METHOD Review the payment options provided, and select your preferred method. Options may include bank transfer, debit/credit card in your home currency, electronic payment, or other local options.
  3. ENTER YOUR DETAILS Enter some basic information to initiate your payment. We will include this information with your payment for easy identification by your institution.
  4. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT Follow the instructions provided to send funds to Flywire via your selected method.
    BANK TRANSFERS Follow the instructions provided to send your funds. Depending on your bank, payment may be made online, in person, or over the phone.
    DEBIT/CREDIT CARD Enter your card details online to complete your payment in your home currency. Note: Additional local payment options may be available depending on your country of origin.
  5. TRACK & CONFIRM Receive email and text updates each step of the way, including a confirmation when your payment has been delivered. You can also create a Flywire account to track your payment online 24/7.
