4 Seasons of Reconciliation (offered by Indigenous Education and Engagement)
3-hour module. Ongoing enrollment. Online asynchronous. This online module is designed directly in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action specifically to Call to Action #62. This focuses on the need for institutions like Humber to implement curriculum and resources to help people learn about the historical and current context of Indigenous peoples. This micro-credential explores the methods, practices, and tools for adapting an existing in-person lesson plan for flexible teaching. Faculty will review strategies to foster a learning experience that engages learners in all three modalities and ensures an equitable experience for all students.

Micro-credential: Equity and Anti-Oppressive Teaching in Post-Secondary Education
EATE 001 is one of six micro-credentials offered by Innovative Learning. This micro-credential explores increasing capacity among Humber College staff in relation to equitable and anti-oppressive teaching. Participants will familiarize themselves with the core tenets of equitable and anti-oppressive teaching, including identifying one’s own positionality, distinguishing between equality and equity, and engaging in critical self-reflection.

SFQ Season: Summer 2024
SFQs (Student Feedback Questionnaires) occur once every semester. Students access SFQs through a unique link sent to their Blackboard email. They can complete the questionnaire at any point within the specified time period. They can do it on their own time or use in-class time as provided by their instructor.

Opportunities and Impacts: UDL in Higher Education Session
In this session, Jodie Black will explore the opportunities and broad impacts of UDL in higher educational institutions such as Humber College. Dialogue will encourage thoughtful discussions on structures, supports and practices needed to fully integrate the UDL framework into practice. There will be opportunities to reflect on current teaching and learning practices, pose questions aimed at critically evaluating the potential integration of a UDL framework, and facilitate interactive discussions to foster reflective insights into the integration of UDL.
