English Language Support

English Language Learner/English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Services

The Writing Centre has devoted support and resources to help students whose first language is not English. The trained staff in the Writing Centre are available to help you in a variety of ESOL and EAP areas ranging from basic grammar to essay development and business correspondence.

What We Offer:

  • We help students who are taking ESOL 100 and 200, as well as EAP, ESOL Humanities, and Gen Ed courses, but we are also happy to assist any second-language learner.
  • We run conversation and pronunciation sessions.
  • Although we cannot proofread completed assignments to be submitted, we will be glad to show you how to proofread.

An appointment is required to receive tutoring services. Visit humber.upswing.io to book an appointment.
