Phishing Emails - Don't Take the Bait

There has been an increase in cyber security scams and malicious code being delivered by email (phishing scams) targeting colleges and universities in Canada and the US.

Phishing is a scam that pose as a legitimate source to trick a group of people or specific individuals (i.e. Spear Phishing) in an organization into handing over personal or financial information or even to download malicious software.

Global Challenge Leaderboard

Congratulations to all Global Challengers – we are now at the halfway mark!

Mini Challenge 3 has started as of October 26 and runs until October 28. This challenge allows participants to “Spin that Wheel” that will give them step targets to achieve for three days.

Starting November 1st, Global Challenge Sleep will help participants measure and understand their sleeping patterns and provide helpful hints for a better night’s sleep.

With that said, we would like to give a special shout-out to Humber’s top teams:

We Are Engaged

Since the official launch of our strategic planning process in late August 2017, I have highlighted the importance of community engagement to make the best road map possible to guide Humber for the next five years.

Pick Ups and Deliveries During Faculty Strike

On behalf of the Mailroom, I would like to notify/inform that due to ongoing faculty strike we are unable to receive any deliveries coming into the College and ship out couriers and mail. We have been notified by drivers from various courier companies and Canada Post that they have been turned around by the picketers at the picket line. This will  affect the mailroom operations and cause delays in receiving, delivering, shipping any parcels/couriers and mail. We ask for your patience and hope for a quick resolution so the operations can return back to normal.

Thank you.
