Paul Pieper, Faculty, The Business School

Paul joined Humber College in November, 1978 as Professor in the School of Health Sciences. In 1998 he moved to the Business School, as professor economics and market research.

Dedicated to student success, Paul was instrumental in securing the annual Sadia Butt Scholarship for business students and the Canada Storage Award. He also pioneered “Ristics”, an entrepreneurial venture for Business Management students. In addition, he has been a tireless committee member, serving multiple terms on Academic Council and the Board of Governors.

Helen Gawryk, Program Coordinator, Education & Training Solutions

After 30 years of service and dedication to Humber, Helen Gawryk, program coordinator, Education & Training Solutions, has decided to retire on December 14, 2012.

Helen graduated from Humber’s Business Administration program in 1982 and then joined Humber in the Continuing Education department, now known as Associations and Partnerships. Over the years, she has been active in OPSEU including serving for Humber as president for many terms.

Henny Wiley, Manager, Accounts Payable/Receivable

After 35 years of long service and dedication to Humber, Henny Wiley, Manager, Accounts Payable/Receivable, has decided to retire at the end of August, 2012.

Henny joined the Financial Services & Planning department in 1977 as an Accounts Receivable Clerk then moved to more progressive positions in Financial Services.

Over the past year and a half, Henny has been part of the Implementation Team of the Enterprise System Project contributing her knowledge and experience towards the Finance module.

Reminder - Retirement Reception, Tues. June 26, David Lui, Coordinator, AV Graphics, Centre for Teaching & Learning

REMINDER

After 39 years of dedicated service, David Lui is retiring from Humber. David joined Humber in 1972 as a graphic artist and currently works in AV Graphics as a graphic designer, caricaturist and photographer. David has utilized his graphic and photographic skills serving Humber's schools in support of teaching and learning.

In recent years, he has played a key role in providing graphic support to the Centre for Teaching & Learning. His versatile skills have been an integral part of the ongoing success of the professional development programs at Humber.

Lucy Valentino, Professor, Liberal Arts and Sciences

The Department of English would like to bid a very fond farewell to Lucy Valentino. Lucy began teaching at Humber in 2005 and has served as coordinator of English at the Lakeshore campus since 2009. She joined Humber after a long and successful career at Centennial College where she began as a professor in the School of English and Liberal Studies and was later appointed Chair and then Acting Dean of the school.

Lesia Mision, Associate Director, Financial Services

After 35 years of long service and dedication to Humber, Lesia Mision, Associate Director, Financial Services, has decided to retire at the end of August, 2012.

Lesia joined the Financial Services & Planning department in 1977 as a Cost Clerk then moved to more progressive positions and most recently as the Associate Director, Financial Services.

Over the past year and a half, Lesia has been part of the Implementation Team of the Enterprise System Project contributing her knowledge and experience towards the Finance module.
