Acting Associate Dean, Culinary, Baking, Hospitality and Tourism

Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Colin Bartley has been appointed the Acting Associate Dean, Culinary, Baking, Hospitality and Tourism for the Longo Faculty of Business.

Colin has worked as a faculty member and program coordinator since 2013. He holds an MBA from the University of Guelph and is a graduate of Humber’s Culinary Management as well as the Hotel and Restaurant Management diplomas. In addition to almost ten years of post-secondary experience, Colin has more than 25 years of corporate business experience in the hospitality and tourism sector. Colin held several progressive management roles with Delta Hotels & Resorts and with American Express Canada which included having served as Director of Travel Partner Network (Leisure Travel) as well as Director Global Accounts & Large Market clients (Business Travel).

At Humber, Colin has blended his business background and education to bring meaningful and impactful opportunities to life for students. During the past ten years Colin has been involved in curriculum development (diploma, degree and graduate certificate levels), supported the creation and launch of the new Retirement Home graduate certificate and has participated in numerous college initiatives including the inaugural Longo Faculty of Business EDI committee.

I look forward to working with Colin and his team to ensure that we continue to create opportunities for teaching and learning in this cluster.

Please join me in congratulating Colin on his new role.
