Bianca Sorbera, Manager, Teaching Training Programs

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Bianca Sorbera as Manager, Teaching Training Programs.

Bianca has worked at Humber College for the past five years in a variety of roles including, teaching within the Culturally Inclusive Educator and Teaching Effectiveness certificates for the Centre for Teaching and Learning. Additionally, Bianca has taught teaching English as a Second Language, and Communications courses for the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She also worked in an advising capacity for Humber’s Research Analyst and Professional Writing and Communications Postgraduate certificates. Before working for Humber College, Bianca spent many years working in the non-profit sector in Toronto as well as living and teaching abroad in both Vietnam and Taiwan.

Bianca completed her studies at both University of Toronto and York University with a focus on education, social work, equity, and social justice. Her academic preparation includes a Bachelor of Arts in Equity Studies, Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Education and a Masters of Social Work. Bianca is also holds a certification in TESOL and is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers.

Bianca's responsibilities include the advancement of CTL’s teacher training programs including: The Teaching Effectiveness Program, Case Teaching and Writing Certificate, Curricular Service Learning, Designing Differentiated Learning Certificate and the Culturally Inclusive Educators Certificate.
