Construction Notice: Road Widening and Catch Basin Installation on Finch Avenue West and Highway 27

  • Work hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Impact
  • Traffic lane reduction: one lane open in each direction.
  • Sidewalks and crosswalks may be closed periodically.
  • Minor field modifications will occur when needed to complete work safely and minimize impact on the public.
Work Description
  • Road widening on the east side.
  • Catch basin installation.

As part of the Finch West Light Rail (LRT) project, crews will be undertaking road widening and catch basin installation at the Intersection of Humber College Boulevard and Highway 27. The work is scheduled to start on September 6, 2022, and will last for approximately five (5) weeks.

Sidewalks and crosswalks may be closed periodically. Minor field modifications will occur when needed to complete work safely and minimize impact on the public.

There will be a Paid Duty Officer, flaggers, and detour signs to direct traffic, as needed.

We will continue monitoring noise and vibration levels to keep them within permitted ranges during these activities.
