Between May 27 and June 7, 2024, the International Development Institute (IDI) hosted a delegation from Bhutan as part of the Bhutan Education and Skills Training (BEST) Project.
During this visit, BEST partners from Bhutan engaged with Humber faculty and staff from various departments to undergo training and explore best practices to be replicated and applied within the Bhutanese context.
To continue strengthening the knowledge and expertise of partners under BEST, five Bhutanese partners attended Humber College's Global Summer School (GSS) Program for an on-campus global experience. The group developed their knowledge, skills, and capacity in hands-on learning opportunities and engaged in intercultural conversations.
The four-week program provided professional and personal development opportunities through multidisciplinary and intercultural learning and social interactions among all GSS students. Partners from Bhutan can use their newfound and enhanced knowledge and experiences to foster community and global relationships and address challenges in Bhutan for the country's future.
