Humber monitored the power output from our solar panel arrays at the North Campus during Monday's solar eclipse. Despite the overcast weather and our location being outside the path of totality, we observed a noticeable impact on solar power generation. At the peak of the eclipse at Humber, at around 3:19 p.m., you can notice on the attached graph that the electricity production dipped dramatically, almost reaching 0 kW in the middle of the day.
Each line on the graph represents the power generated by our different sets of panels. The largest array on campus is located at the Parking Garage, which has a 500kW capacity.
