Human Rights Policy and Complaints Procedures Online Pre-Training Course

You asked, we listened!

The Centre for Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion designed this online pre-training course in response to the Humber community’s request for material to build on their human rights learning. The course provides some learning scaffolding for the mandatory Pathways to Human Rights, Equity, and Inclusion Education and Action training. This online pre-training course is made up of four modules.

Each module has specific learning objectives and are intended to provide background knowledge on human rights and human rights related legislation, power and power dynamics and some key equity and human rights terms.

The Centre is confident that, when taken together, these modules will provide you with the necessary preparation to engage with the mandatory human rights training more effectively.

Please note that this online pre-training course is a voluntary non-mandatory course.

Here’s how you can get the most out of the modules:

  1. Set aside 45 minutes to complete each module.
  2. Remove distractions (turn off your mobile phone, close the door, use ear buds)
  3. You can complete in three separate sessions or in one sitting. It is recommended that you complete each module in one sitting.

You can access the online pre-training course through Blackboard Ultra using the following steps:
