Humber Polytechnic Council - September Highlights

An assembly of faculty, support staff, students, and administrators, Humber Polytechnic Council (HPC) is Humber’s collective employee voice, making suggestions to Humber Polytechnic’s President as it relates to long and short‐term institutional priorities.

OPENING REMARKS

Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan, Humber Polytechnic’s President and CEO

Humber’s current domestic enrolment has exceeded Humber’s summer and fall targets and is on track for the winter term. In terms of international students, the institution met its minimum targets for the summer and fall terms. Aligned with a system-wide trend, Humber is challenged to meet its winter targets.

Humber has just commenced the development of its Strategic Management Agreement (SMA) with the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities. The SMA outlines Humber’s institutional mandate and vision and identifies current strengths and areas of future growth. Provincial priorities continue to be in STEM, skilled trades, and health fields that address labour market needs.

INFORMATIONAL: ENROLMENT UPDATE

  • Total Summer 2024 enrolment: 9,900 – Humber’s largest summer enrolment to date.
