Last spring, faculty and staff were invited to submit proposals that explored innovative teaching and learning approaches and contributed to transformative change across our learning spaces. I was so impressed by the creativity, risk taking and innovation I saw in the proposals, and I am grateful to everyone who submitted their ideas.
The selected round 1 projects experimented with approaches to offering learners flexibility, supporting personalization, building digital fluency, harnessing new technologies, and other key initiatives that contribute to the goals of the Academic Plan. I am excited to see these projects featured as part of Showcase on June 6, and I look forward to continuing to see their positive impact on our learners.
The round 2 call for proposals will be open from May 8 to June 5, 2024. We will continue to prioritize proposals that demonstrate clear connections to the Academic Plan priorities and exhibit potential scalability across program areas or the institution.
You can find more details about the application and process on the Call for Proposals webpage. Before completing your proposal, you are encouraged to discuss your intention to apply with your immediate supervisor for their feedback regarding potential operational impacts.
Now is your opportunity to not only push the boundaries of how we design and deliver the best possible learning experience for every student, but also to further your own professional growth. Your innovative ideas can shape the future of our institution.
