I am very pleased to announce that Monique Harvison is Humber's new Manager of Pathways Programs in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Monique will be responsible for providing operational support and leadership to two programs within the Pathways department, including Dual Credit and Academic Upgrading.
Monique has been an invaluable member of the Humber College community since 2017. She holds an MA in Gender Studies from Queen’s University and is a creative and heart-centred leader committed to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging in her teaching and leadership practice. Monique has served as a partial-load faculty member and advisor for FLAS students including our Dual Credit learners and students in our School Within a College (SWAC) program. In addition, she has contributed to scholarship about innovative teaching strategies through her TIF-funded project, “Gamification in Online Learning and its Effect on Dual Credit Student Engagement, Motivation and Self Concept.” Most recently she has served as the acting Program Coordinator for the General Arts and Science Program where she has been providing advising and leadership for the University, Degree and College Transfer programs, collaborating with post-secondary partners on pathways and various new initiatives, onboarding and training new staff, and providing interim Dual Credit leadership.
Monique officially began in her new position on August 22, 2022. Please join me in congratulating and wishing Monique all the best in her new role.
In kindness,
Christina Meredith
