A National Crime - Staffed Evening Hours

On Wednesday, February 21 and Monday, February 26, the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre will be extending their operating hours until 7 p.m. to provide further information and interpretive guidance on A National Crime, a travelling exhibit on loan to the Centre from the Legacy of Hope Foundation.

A National Crime: The Residential School Experience in Canada is on display in the Student Welcome and Resource Centre (WEL) Atrium at Lakeshore Campus from January 29 to February 27, 2024. While the show is open every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the extended operating hours will provide staff support to visitors unable to visit during our regular operating hours.

This exhibition explores the creation of the Residential School System, the experiences of the students, its impacts and traumas, and Indigenous-led political action, healing, and efforts towards Reconciliation.

The Legacy of Hope Foundation is a national, Indigenous-led, charitable organization that has been working to promote healing and reconciliation in Canada for more than 19 years.
